My best friend has fibromyalgia. Can you recommend any supplements for him?

In fibromyalgia, it is important to get the muscles to relax which will help reduce the pain that most patients feel. Magnesium works as a wonderful muscle relaxant. Omega 3 capsules can help fight inflammation that many people with fibromyalgia experience. Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin,  is important too – both for pain reduction and improving immunity. SAM-e (S-adenosylmethionine) is also beneficial for addressing pain in fibromyalgia. We recommend that your friend consult his health care practitioner before beginning a supplement regimen as many of these may interact with an existing health condition or medications.
